Character Name: Hungary (Elizaveta Héderváry)
Character Series: Axis Powers Hetalia
Character Age: Appears to be mid twenties, though around 1051 in actuality (I’m going by when a lasting rule was put in the region of Pannonia, not when the land is officially called the Kingdom of Hungary. Until Magyar gets more information it's staying that way. :|b)
Personality: Hungary herself is generally considered as a big-sister type of character, seeming to take the youngers under her wing and generally being motherly for the most part. This side is her most prominent, generally the one shown in public and one that’s used around those close to her. Though this certainly doesn’t mean that she’s not anything but the sweet down-home type, because she really isn’t at all. Generally one would see the nation either inside doing things considered of a housewife or outside dealing with some manual task, especially if it’s something dealing with horses. This is due to the fact of her people having begun as horseback riders. Even with this attitude she… has a bit of a side that most don’t ever know of, this being her fujoshi side. Really, she’s not above taking pictures of two guys together with or without their knowledge.
Though there is another side to her, if anyone happens to anger her or hurt someone close to her. She basically snaps and using either a frying pan or spear will generally beat the living tar out of the offender until she’s satisfied or they surrender in one way or another. For this reason she’s generally considered the manliest character of the whole series, the gallant Hungary and her formerly feared army. Truly she’s a force to not be trifled, her combat experience pretty hearty.
Out of most things she typically likes the simpler things in life, usually dealing with nature or the thrill of a battle; no matter how small it really is. Just the thrill itself is more than enough to put her in higher spirits, leading her to be just a tiny bit confrontational to most people, particularly if they are someone she's not accustomed to. Unfortunately this gives her the appearance of having a very short temper, though the fact really does lend itself to the confrontational edge.
ADDITION FOR CANON UPDATE (Might have rehashed other things, shh)
In the beginning Hungary was a cheerful nation for the most part, seeming to take delight in the simplest things and when in the company of those who she considered as a friend. However, when angered she’s a completely different type of person, one willing to go as far as necessary to have that problem corrected and that person or nation disposed of or hurt to within an inch of being unable to move anymore. In all truth she’s really had this temper ever since she was younger and in her advancing years it really has gotten worse before it gets better. Not to say she’s quick to anger, just that she’s a bit overly protective to those she considers herself to be an “older sister” type to. If anyone is genius enough to hurt someone close to her they face the wrath of the Hungarian, and it is quite a force to be reckoned with, even with her knockbacks in power.
As far as recent times she’s really become a bit more docile, biding her time unless situation calls for her to act aggressively. She knows she can not win a fight against her current benefactor and will not truly try unless she finds some sort of hole to exploit. Even then she has become somewhat paranoid with the recent threat upon the world, figuring that by keeping other nations at a distance that she could avoid any intentions of others trying to destroy her. But, even then, she has become far more wary of Russia and those close to him
Abilities: There really isn’t much to Hungary as far as any powers go, the most notable things being the fact she’s a country. For that reason she’s pretty much has a higher threshold of pain that a human would as well as strength that is above most as well. Her strength, in particular, is probably one of the bigger factors with her. In series she’s seen having broken down a wall with nothing more than her strength and a frying pan. There are numerous other talents of hers, but none of them are truly considered powers that can be removed from her.
